Brian has acted for clients in several high- stake disputes in the Supreme Court of Kenya, the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the Sports Disputes Tribunal, the Tax Appeals Tribunal, the Co-operatives Tribunal, the Court Martial, the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board, Insurance Appeals Tribunal, all Magistrate Courts as well as other Administrative and regulatory authorities.

  • Successfully defending a leading regional insurance company against a USD 5 million (KES 600 million) London Court of International Arbitration, arbitration claim.
  • Representing a digital health support solutions services provider in a Public Procurement dispute before the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board in a dispute worth USD 1.4 million (KES 170 million).
  • Representing an American aviation company in a shareholders’ dispute with its East African affiliates in a dispute worth USD 1 million (KES 120 million).
  • Representing a real estate company in a USD 250,000 tax dispute with the Kenya Revenue Authority.
  • Continuously advising and successfully represented a tier one bank in relation to tax, anti-bribery, and anti-money laundering obligations.
